FloQast vs Numeric Head-to-Head: 7 Categories
We scored both tools on the seven areas finance teams ask about most.
1. Close task management
Both give you a central close checklist with owners, due dates and sign-offs. FloQast has refined its checklist, projects and accounting operations over more than a decade and pairs them with AI agents that run recurring steps. Numeric’s checklist is built for people and agents working side by side, with review notes and transaction monitors. FloQast’s depth and track record give it the edge here.
2. Reconciliations and matching
FloQast offers account reconciliations, automated reconciliations and AI matching, including three-way matching, in its Close AI package. Numeric auto-reconciles the balance sheet and lets you build cash matching rules on memo, amount and date, with AI suggesting new matches over time. Both are strong, so the right pick depends on your reconciliation mix.
3. Flux analysis and reporting
Numeric puts flux and reporting at the center of its product. It offers custom reports with pivots, filters and formulas, plus agentic flux analysis that can pull in data from sources such as payroll and CRM. FloQast’s AI Variance Analysis drafts flux explanations for review inside its close workflow. Teams that want highly customized reporting will likely prefer Numeric’s approach.
4. Journal entries
FloQast’s Journal Entry Management covers preparation, approval and auto-posting to the ERP. Numeric lets teams draft and batch-post entries to NetSuite in one click, including cash and intercompany entries. Both cover the core need well.
5. SOX, controls and audit
FloQast has the broader offering here. Its Risk & Compliance suite covers SOX scoping, controls, testing, audit readiness and enterprise risk management, and it can be bought alone or with a close package. Numeric’s website does not list a dedicated compliance module as of October 2026, so teams with heavy SOX needs should ask Numeric directly how it supports them.
6. ERP integrations
FloQast lists integrations with NetSuite, SAP, Workday, Microsoft, Sage Intacct and Xero, which covers most mid-market and enterprise ERPs. Numeric is built around a deep, transaction-level NetSuite sync and also lists QuickBooks Online, Xero and Sage Intacct. If you run SAP, Workday or Microsoft, FloQast lists more options.
7. Ease of use and support
